My first research project focused on a theme related to corporate strategy and policies. Specifically, I conducted analyses to support an entry strategy into a new sector by studying Tesla in the automotive industry and overcoming barriers. I addressed the topic from both theoretical and practical perspectives, utilizing tools such as PESTEL analysis and Porter’s Five Forces to describe the automotive industry and the electric vehicle manufacturing company. I identified the critical success factors that empowered Musk to effectively establish Tesla, position the company in unexplored strategic territory, and gain a competitive advantage in the automotive sector.
